Young Picasso Painters Exhibition.
The Exhibition was a roaring success with over 200 entries exhibited from schools and colleges in the Mansfield and Ashfield areas. The sheer variety and talent in this event was joyful to see and we envisage that next year the event will attract double the entries.
Among the Schools taking part were Brunts Academy, Meden School, Croft Primary, Joseph Whitaker, Intake Farm, Berry Hill School, St Mary Magdalene, West Notts College, Sutton Centre.
The Competition and Exhibition supports originality using traditional materials watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels, pencils and charcoal.
Out of the four topics the topic 'What Mental Health Looks Like' was the most popular even the youngest age groups understood the concept of Mental Health. The 'Bonfire Night' images were also popular with many abstract creations on both paper and canvas.
Our winners in each age group and the 1st Runners up were presented with bumper Art Boxes and a Certificate by Councillor June Stendall and Councillor Andrew Burgin and myself.
Judged By Michelle Mchugh and Jayne Woodbridge.
